The Areterra isn’t even built yet but already one Green minded buyer is making some Green noise. One buyer purchased not just one condo but the entire top floor of one of the towers. Apparently she wants to have one giant Green penthouse. She’s working with noted San Francisco based Organic Architect Eric Corey Freed in redesigning the top floor. Freed is designing, among other features, a photovoltaic solar system for the roof (because she’s on the top floor) which should have the Arterra people smiling. The Arterra folks decided not to include alternative energy as part of their LEED certification (more about that later). Freed recommended some Green remodeling for the unGreen Arterra kitchens (love those granite countertops) but the buyer voiced concern about ruining the LEED certification. Honey, if Freed is working on the project then your deluxe penthouse in the sky will get nothing but Greener.
