We know what you’re thinking. Why are you guys blogging this Divis Junction (Nopa meets Divisidero) gas station? Certainly oil companies and gas stations represent all that is not Green but here one of our photogs spotted the solar panels on this station. We now pose this question: How Green is this gas station? Solar panels versus polluting fossil fuels. It’s like Wal-Mart installing solar panels and creating natural light roofs in several stores. Where do we draw the Green line?
What cracks me up about that installation is that all the panels are facing west. It’s generally wisdom that in the northern hemisphere, panels should always face south unless there’s a major obstruction. In this case the west is about as obstructed as the south, so I don’t know what’s going on!
