Normally we wouldn’t pay too much attention to another bike store (although we do promote the whole bike riding thing) but this new bike store slash cafe put some sustainable thought into their construction. Mojo Bicycle Cafe, on Divis near Hayes, re-used and reclaimed lots of wood for their chairs, doors and paneling in the cafe section. We think it’s a heavenly idea to see an old church pew used as seating as well as an old barn door reincarnated as the front counter. Props for tankless water heater deep within the guts.
It would be nice if they had used something besides the nasty VOC filled Kelly Moore interior paints, and they need to work on the lights. Even so, the place offers good mojo.
