Energy Saving Goldfish Lamp

People are starting to see the light for this whole Green building thing. Five-one-oh Green architect Michelle Kaufmann teamed up with Seattle-based lighting company, Flux, to create the first in a series of energy saving light fixtures. We’ve heard it all before about those energy saving bulbs that cast uneven, haunted house light throughout a room. Not here.Talk about double delicious, the VESSEL light fixture also works as a vase. We’re into that two-for-one customization thing where we can mix the light with flowers, bamboo, colored rocks, or even goldfish.

Vessel can used with compact fluorescent or LED and they last not only last up to 15x longer than Edison-style bulbs but they also use less than 1/5th of the energy of the old-fashioned bulbs. These puppies run about $295 but that won’t stop us from seeking out some organic goldfish food.
